Magical experience
New Harry Potter Forbidden Forest event will cast a spell on Little Elm for Halloween
There's a little magic happening in Little Elm this fall. A new event called Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience will transform Little Elm Park into a mysterious wizarding wonderland starting October 28, in time for Halloween.
UPDATE 1-29-2024: The official closing date for this one-of-a-kind experience has been extended until February 11.

Inspired by the iconic Forbidden Forest and featuring creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series, the experience will see lights morph the landscape into a magical outdoor trail. Visitors will be able to discover some of their favorite moments from the Forbidden Forest, encounter mystical creatures such as Hippogriffs, unicorns, and Nifflers, and practice casting their very own spells, a release says.
Guests also will find a themed village at the end of the trail, where they can enjoy food and drink, as well as a gift shop with merchandise from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies.
The event is produced by Warner Bros.Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, in partnership with Fever and IMG.
The run in Little Elm follows earlier stays in the U.K., New York, Brussels, and Washington D.C. While the end date is still to-be-determined, organizers anticipate the experience being open for around three months, according to a PR representative for the event.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting Thursday, July 27, but fans who sign up for the waitlist will unlock exclusive access to secure tickets.
Ticket prices range from $34 for children to $44 for adults. You can read more about the experience and sign up for the ticket waitlist at hpforbiddenforestexperience.com/little-elm.
