The COVID Will Bring You Down
Billy Joel & Stevie Nicks concert in Arlington pushed back to 2024
The anticipated co-headlining concert by music legends Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks at AT&T Stadium, scheduled for April 8, has been postponed to March 9, 2024 due to a lingering COVID illness within Nicks' band.
According to her Twitter account, Nicks - who is concurrently on a solo tour - has also postponed four other concerts in the past two weeks for the same issue.
The Arlington concert, announced in November 2022, was to be one of eight shows Nicks and Joel would play together in 2023; the other seven are still scheduled for now. Each will also perform a number of solo shows in between, including Joel's monthly residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Fans will now have to wait almost a year longer to see Joel, who last played in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2019, and Nicks, who last made an appearance in the area in 2016.
There's no word on why the concert is being rescheduled so far in the future, although the fact that their concerts are taking place in large sports-first venues likely played a part.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date.
