1. Shuttered Dallas restaurant known for sticky buns to reopen in Plano. A one-time Dallas breakfast spot is being revived: Crossroads Diner, the restaurant that served biscuits and sticky buns in Dallas for a decade, is rising from the dead, this time in Plano, at Rosewood Property Company’s Heritage Creekside.
2. Hop-on air carrier JSX adds 2 West Coast cities for round-trips to Dallas. Premium air carrier JSX, known for its hop-on jet service, is expanding its flight network with the addition of two new West Coast routes out of Dallas Love Field: Scottsdale, Arizona, and Orange County, California. The service will begin October 3.
3. '50s home for sale in East Dallas boasts original bathrooms, rustic setting. There's a house for sale in East Dallas from the '50s sitting on a large lot, with a large price to boot. Built in 1954, the home is at 8615 Vinewood Dr. and is still in mostly original condition, including vintage bathrooms with 4X4-inch tile, and original kitchen — all perfectly maintained.
4. Austin's chic Clark's Oyster Bar to open Dallas location on Katy Trail. One of Austin's best seafood restaurants is coming to Dallas: Clark's Oyster Bar, known for its fresh oysters, raw bar, and pan-roasted burgers, will make its Dallas debut with a location opening near the Katy Trail.
5. Dallas' Southwestern Medical District to launch urban streetscape project. Texas Trees Foundation and Southwestern Medical District are launching an urban streetscape project to increase the presence of green in the Medical District. The area is currently the largest heat island in the city.
