    Where to Shop Now

Where to shop in Dallas right now: 8 must-hit stores for March

    Diana Oates
    Mar 6, 2020 | 9:09 am

This month's shopping lineup is all about fun, flirty, and fabulous frocks to enjoy all spring season. Whether you're looking for a lace gown to walk down the aisle or are in search of the perfect statement earrings, there's a shop for all of it. Even your face is getting some love via high-quality products that make you shine from the inside out. Here are the places you must swipe your credit card this month.

    Bluemercury
No one can resist a good gift with purchase. This high-end beauty retailer is kicking off its annual Spring Beauty Event on March 5. Through March 31, shoppers in store and online can get a travel bag stuffed with samples when they spend $150 or more. Samples include Supergoop's GlowScreen, Oribe's Royal Blowout Spray, Lune+Aster's Vitamin C+E Lipgloss, and more. Shopping in store also allows access to Bluemercury's beauty experts, who will be standing by to provide pro tips and personalized product recommendations.

Cameron Silver at Park + Eighth
For those who love vintage and don't mind a drive to Fort Worth, there's a very special trunk show at the end of the month. "King of vintage" Cameron Silver, owner of Los Angeles boutique Decades, is taking his treasure trove on the road with a stop at Park + Eighth's flagship boutique, 4804 Camp Bowie Blvd., in Fort Worth. His trunk show will take place 10 am-5 pm March 25. "We’ll have some Chanel, Dior, Fendi, and Versace — pieces you never knew existed and now desire," he says.

    Isabel Marant
Parisian flow with a little Dallas glow up. This new boutique has just opened at NorthPark Center on level one in between Neiman Marcus and Dillard's. It is the only location in Texas. Since the brand's 1994 launch, Marant has tried on every garment before it leaves her studio to make sure the fit is perfect for the life of a "real woman." The store sells a well-edited selection of clothes, shoes, and bags. Just try not to swoon over the Gubaia pants paired with the Espera top.

    Lela Rose Bridal
In addition to expanding the original flagship from 950 square feet to 1,550 square feet, the Dallas designer's stunning new shop also features a bridal salon. Anyone who is on the market for a classically designed gown for the modern bride would be doing themselves a disservice to not check this Highland Park Village store out before saying "yes to a dress." View the entire collection here.

    LoveShackFancy
A Dallas pop-up is happening at Highland Park Village's Market starting on March 10, and it is the perfect way to celebrate the store's reopening. In addition to carrying the clothing and swimwear that has gained the brand a cult following, the pop-up is also going to feature the brand's darling home line. Shop everything from napkins, tablecloths, and placemats to pillows, bedding, and more. The company promises the Dallas pop-up will be "a jewel-box style space to bring the brand’s romanticized vision to life, creating community-driven experiences for its devotees."

Mignonne Gavigan at Neiman Marcus Downtown
Mark you calendars for March 26 because Mignonne Gavigan is bringing her incredible jewelry collection to the first floor of the favorite Dallas department store. The event runs from 10 am to 5 pm and styles range from Gavigan's signature scarf necklaces to beautiful brooches and, of course, lots and lots of earrings that are nothing if not wearable art.

    Paris Bloom
This direct-to-consumer designer makes dresses right here in Dallas. It was founded by two sisters who wanted to create classic and modern dresses appropriate for work, church, and play. The spring 2020 collection starts at $139 and features pieces made with high-quality fabrics, careful construction, and with vintage inspiration. You can shop them here.

    Versona
Head to Watter's Creek in Allen to explore the new 6,650-square-foot location that showcases fun clothing, jewelry, and accessories that won't break the bank. Versona also sells gift items like candles and lotions, and even fun wedding swag like totes, slippers, luggage tags, and koozies. Most everything under $50.The store is located near Anthropologie and is now open.

A Dallas bridal boutique is closing after 56 years: Mockingbird Bridal Boutique, which has been open at 5602 E. Mockingbird Ln. since 1969, will close on December 31.

According to a statement, the owners were facing retirement, and sold their ownership share of their building location.

Mockingbird Bridal was founded by Helen Shelton and has since been owned and operated by her granddaughters Amber Harris and Ashley Pappas — spending more than five decades dressing generations of North Texas brides.

"Mockingbird Bridal has been my life’s joy for over 56 years,” Amber Harris says in a statement. “Watching generations of brides — and often their mothers and daughters — find the gown that made them feel truly beautiful has been the greatest privilege. While saying goodbye is bittersweet, I’m filled with gratitude for every bride, every tear of joy, and every ‘yes to the dress’ we’ve shared.”

Until they close, Mockingbird Bridal is holding an Everything Must Go Closing Sale beginning immediately and running through December 31.

Designer gowns are 50 percent off, and this will include:

    • new, never-worn samples and in-stock styles
    • Iconic collections from Demetrios, Pronovias, Casablanca, Allure, and Stephen Yearick
    • Sizes 0–30 available

No appointment necessary — walk-ins welcome during regular business hours.

“We want every last gown to find its bride,” Amber and Ashley say. “These are the same world-class designers and impeccable quality brides have trusted us for since 1969 — now at half the price."
