Highland Park Village teemed with the city’s fashion elite for the grand opening of Dior, the latest luxury addition to the chicest intersection in Dallas. Art Ball 2013 co-chairs Jennifer Karol and Catherine Rose, dressed in Dior, welcomed a crowd of more than 200 to the fashion-filled fete.
Photographers positioned at the entrance snapped photos of the well-dressed guests as they stepped through the doors. Once inside, they grabbed flutes of champagne and black linen napkins before exploring the four salons filled with women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, leather goods, and costume and fine jewelry.
The always beautiful Dallas star Linda Gray, in a sophisticated black sheath, greeted fellow fashionable philanthropists with her usual smiles and grace. (Gray also made quite the impression at House of DIFFA the following evening.)
The crowd buzzed as much about the artfully placed garments as the upcoming fundraising gala for the Dallas Museum of Art. (This year, Klyde Warren Park provides the backdrop for the ball.) Guests also stepped out to view the “Dior Couture Patrick Demarchelier” exhibit, which showcases images taken by the iconic French photographer alongside dresses from the couture house’s 65-year archive.
Spotted on the sophisticated scene: Forty Five Ten owner Brian Bolke, Art Ball honorary chairs Micki and Mike Rawlings, Bag Snob Tina Craig, House of DIFFA collection chairman Brandi Oleniczak and husband Jason, Capera Ryan and mom Deborah, Jeanne Marie Clossey, Lynn McBee, Laura Noble, Sheryl Maas, Elisa Summers, and Christen Wilson.
