Texas college town finally arrives with opening of fashion favorite H&M
Fast-fashion favorite H&M continues its Lone Star expansion with a new location in a deserving Texas town. H&M will open its first outpost in Waco on Thursday, September 15, at noon.
The Waco store, located at Richland Mall, boasts 21,000 square feet of space and features apparel for the whole family. Shoppers can peruse collections for ladies, men, young ladies, and young men, as well as "store-within-a-store" accessories areas. The Richland Mall location also will carry the H&M Kids collections for newborns to teenagers.
Known for affordable, fashion-forward clothing, H&M also is famous for its designer collaborations, with big names such as Alexander Wang. Sustainability plays a key role at H&M too. In 2013, H&M launched Garment Collecting, an in-store clothing recycling project, and last year, the brand received the U.S. EPA Green Power Leadership Award.
Waco marks the 27th Texas location for the brand, and the opening comes hot on the heels of H&M's debut in Bee Cave. Additionally, H&M opened a massive 30,000-square-foot store in downtown Fort Worth earlier this year, and another Fort Worth location is slated to open this fall.
H&M at Richland Mall is located at 6001 W. Waco Dr. To celebrate the opening, the first 100 shoppers in line will get an "Access to Fashion Pass," valued between $10-$300.
