Score a winning game-day look with GiftingMap's tailgate collection

Fall in Texas means football, which in turns means tailgating and watch parties. Though you might have all the munchies taken care of, there are a few more items you'll want to grab before game day.

GiftingMap, the shopping site curated by CultureMap, can help with its Tailgate Collection. From apparel to accessories to flasks, it's got all the essentials for a winning weekend.

Check out a few of our favorite must-haves, then browse the rest of the collection online.

    Hari Mari flip-flops
This is Texas, so you know there's a good chance it'll remain scorching through the fall. Slip into these fashionable flops, with their buttery-smooth nubuck leather insole and memory foam toe post, and walk in comfort across parking lots, through stadiums, or from your couch to the kitchen.

Object Make and Model brass hoop and blue glass earrings
If you're in it to win it with a long day of tailgating and game-watching, you don't want to be weighed down by heavy jewelry. These modern hoops won't sag or snag, and the blue works for both NFL teams (go Cowboys and Texans!) and as a pop of color with burnt orange regalia.

    Sarah Stewart Penelope clutch
Lots of stadiums have instituted strict bag policies, banning anything larger than a clutch unless it's a regulated plastic bag. That's why this line of crossbody bags — in several colors — is ideal. Though technically a smidge larger than what the policies state, we bet you'll get waved through security anyway.

Sertodo Copper Espadín Grand Daddy flask
Look, we don't condone being sneaky with your sips, but sometimes the situation calls for a flask. These heavy gauge copper flasks, which hold 12 ounces and have a tin-lined interior for nonreactive liquor storage, is individually handcrafted by autonomous artisans in the Mexican village of Santa Clara del Cobre.

    Spirit Snob collegiate wraps
From Red Raiders to bears to horned frogs, this line of scarves proudly declares your love for your alma mater (or the Lone Star State as a whole). Not only are the designs versatile — wear them as a scarf, sarong, head wrap, or even a halter top — but the company also donates a portion of every wrap sold to a women's college scholarship.

    Texas Standard pocket T-shirt
Made from 100 percent pima cotton and featuring all invisible seams, this is the shirt you want to wear under your jersey. The embroidered logo on the front pocket adds a bit of edge, should you need to drop your game-day look for a night on the town.

    Texas Standard Woody shades
These might be the best cheap sunglasses we've ever come across. Made from durable polycarbonate with a wood look and texture, plus UV 400 protection, the sunnies provide everything you're looking for in outdoor eyewear, but are priced so that losing them doesn't ruin your day.

    Zilker Native belt
Let everyone know you're from Texas with this authentic Austin brand. World-class, light brown Argentine leather is combined with maroon and white nylon thread that's artfully hand-stitched in Buenos Aires. Wondering what size to get? A good rule of thumb is ordering two inches larger than your pants size.

Spa Castle Korean bathhouse in Carrollton reopens after renovation

An Asian spa is about to celebrate a grand reopening: Spa Castle Texas, located in Carrollton at 1020 Raiford Rd., will re-open on January 1, 2026, following a multi-million-dollar renovation.

Established in 2012 as a retreat combining traditional Korean bathhouse culture with modern resort amenities, the facility closed in late July with a plan to bring refreshed pools, enhanced saunas, modernized locker rooms, and hydrotherapy systems.

The renovation was designed to elevate performance, reliability, and the guest experience, while staying true to its Korean “jjimjilbang” roots.

A jjimjilbang is a large, 24-hour Korean public bathhouse and spa featuring gender-segregated wet areas with hot tubs and saunas, plus unisex zones with themed dry saunas like clay and ice rooms. Some also have snack bars, sleeping areas, and entertainment options like TV lounges or PC rooms. In Korea, it functions an affordable destination for families and a cultural hub for relaxation, socializing, and wellness.

Dallas has not only Spa Castle but also King Spa, a similar facility that opened in 2008 on Royal Lane in Dallas' Koreatown district. There is also a Spa Castle in New York.

Highlights of Spa Castle's renovation in Dallas include:

    • Re-Engineered Hydrotherapy Experience: Upgrades to indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, and hydrotherapy systems to deliver a more authentic Korean bathhouse experience.
    • Reimagined food and beverage menus featuring traditional Korean street food, barbecue, and beverages.

A day pass is $65 for adults on weekdays and $80 on weekends; for 17 and under, it's $45.

    Phase II
The re-opening marks the completion of Phase I of Spa Castle’s renovation.

Phase II, slated for spring 2026, will include upgrades to the on-site boutique hotel and the expansive 8,000-square-foot banquet and event space, to position Spa Castle as a destination for weddings, corporate retreats, and special events.
