We don’t know about you, but all this sunshine of late makes us want to shop. From an Italian newcomer at NorthPark Center to cool upcycled decor in Fort Worth, this is where we’ll be spending some money in March.
Belk
The Southern department store opens in Euless on March 9. Brands include Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Calvin Klein, Lucky, Jessica Simpson, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, and Dior. Don’t miss girls’ night out on March 10, when the first 50 guests get a gift bag, and Clinique gives away prizes.
The Biz
Those with graduates in the family are flocking to this Plaza at Preston Center store for the graduation gift registry event happening the week of March 21. In keeping with the graduation theme, there is a Jon Hart graduation trunk show from March 30 to April 2. All month get a free tote organizer with every Jon Hart purchase.
Canali
NorthPark Centers welcomes the brand’s only Texas boutique to level one. Canali, which takes pride in aesthetic perfection, offers tailor-made luxury menswear — suits, jackets, trousers, and shirts — all handcrafted in Italy.
Filson
The Highland Park Village outpost — the Alaska-based brand’s latest — offers the apparel, bags, leather goods, watches, and accessories for which Filson is known. Valet parking and a personal shopper make this decidedly un-rugged. A grand opening party on March 18, 4:30-7:30 pm, features live music, cocktails, and bites.
Flea Style at Fair Park
Formerly Dallas Flea, this one-day curated marketplace takes over the 85,000-square-foot Automobile Building in Fair Park. Shop 250 vendors, peddling everything from vintage clothing and jewlery to furniture and paper goods. Flea Style runs 9 am to 4 pm on March 12, and tickets are $5.
Nordstrom Galleria
There are two reasons to visit this month. First, lovers of Madewell’s modern-day American clothing — vintage-influenced tees, button-down shirts, accessories, and shoes — can now shop for it inside the Galleria Dallas store, as part of a 25-store expansion involving Madewell and Nordstrom. Second, shop 55 Italian brands — some of which have never been in the U.S. before — at Pop-In@Nordstrom Loves Italy event, which runs through April 17.
PalletSmart
This company made a name for itself by recycling pallet wood into cool decor, seen in such Dallas restaurants as Cane Rosso and Luscher’s. PalletSmart now has a storefront in its hometown of Fort Worth, where you can find furniture such as coffee and dining tables, as well as planters, shelves, bird houses, and art.

The high-end resale shop on Lovers Lane recently announced a unique partnership with Highland Park Village. Consignors who bring in clothing, shoes, and accessories can get “paid’ in the form of gifts cards to HP Village. Even better? The gift card is stocked with an extra 10 percent of the value.
