Spring Shopping Guide
Where to shop in Dallas right now: 6 must-hit stores for May
May shopping generally revolves around what to get Mom, which is never an easy task. (A list of great gift shops is always a good start.) We rounded up a few stores worth a look this month, and your secret is safe with us if you end up with a few things for yourself on your next retail excursion.
Athleta
Set to open May 7 at Preston Oaks Shopping Center (Preston Road and Royal Lane), this Gap Inc. lifestyle brand offers a wealth of well-made and comfortable clothing for the active girl. Athleta also will offer year-round fitness classes.
Bee Street Studio
The ladies of Six1Five recently launched their spring collection, boasting clean lines and customizable options such as colors, sleeves and fabrics. Usually available only online, Six1Five can now be purchased at Bee Street Studio, in a pop-up shop through May 10 — just in time for Mother's Day. If you miss the pop up, you can still shop online, of course.
Jimmy Choo
Thanks to a big renovation, Jimmy Choo's Highland Park Village boutique now has more than 1,000 square feet to fill with women's and men's shoes, eyewear, leather goods, small accessories, and fragrances. The luxury shop also offers customized, made-to-order heels.
Port & Manor
Wooden House owner Steve Brooks has a new industrial-chic home decor store in North Dallas. With tables, chairs, cabinets, pillows and rugs, Port & Manor has everything you need to make your house feel more like a home.
Spanx
Spanx is set to open its first store in Texas on May 16 at NorthPark Center. Expect more than 200 styles of the brand's slimming shapewear, lingerie and activewear. And there's something in it for men too: Think underwear, socks and undershirts that help guys look just a little bit leaner.
Tory Burch
The classic brand known for flats and handbags has opened its largest locale in Dallas at NorthPark Center. Splashed with color and rich textures, the Tory Burch boutique resembles a dream closet stocked with ensembles and accessories for every occasion.
