Dallas Farmers Market decor shop unwraps fun Texas finds in new Lakewood boutique
A home decor and accessories shop specializing in made-in-Texas finds is building on its success at the Dallas Farmers Market and expanding to Lakewood. Texas Goods Co. will open a boutique in the Hillside Village shopping center, at 6465 E. Mockingbird Ln. Suite 430, in late August.
It is the first-ever standalone storefront for owners John and Amy Lynch, who started the brand as a pop-up in Dallas Farmers Market and then opened a permanent location there in 2016. (It will remain open.)
For almost five years, Texas Goods has been a go-to for antiques, décor, accessories, gifts, jewelry, and even some apparel from more than 20 independent vendors.
Their mission? To continue to support small, local businesses with Texan roots — as they've done at the farmers market. All inventory is selected with a careful eye for design and craftsmanship, the owners say.
Popular brands include Parker & Hyde, M.A.D Candle Co., Dallas Caramel Co., Ko.tasha, and Tumbleweed TexStyles. It's a place to pick up a handmade soap for a party favor bag, a cute clutch for date night, or a longhorn to hang on your man cave wall.
Although the Lynches have enjoyed a successful run at the farmers market, they are excited to open their second boutique closer to home. The couple has been Lakewood residents for more than 10 years.
“After our holiday Texas Goods Co. pop-up at Hillside Village last year, we knew that we wanted to become a permanent neighbor in the Lakewood community," Amy Lynch says in a release. “We hope that our storefront will give local residents and visitors the opportunity to support some very unique businesses that are native to Texas.”
Texas Goods Co. (which is going in the old Pinot's Palette space) will be the second of three new tenants joining Hillside Village, the release says. Haystack Burgers & Barley opened in mid-May and Palmer’s Hot Chicken will open later this summer.
Texas Goods Co. will officially welcome customers at 12 pm August 29. The first 100 guests will receive a complimentary face mask handmade by Parker and Hyde.
Normal store hours will be 10 am-6 pm daily.
