Uber pimps out its Dallas rides with Bentleys and Rolls-Royces
Uber is known for getting you around in style and convenience. But this weekend the car service is pumping up the luxury with a stable of cars normally fit for rappers and movie stars.
Known as DLUX, Uber’s luxury service is being endorsed by Dallas Cowboy cornerback Brandon Carr (get it?) and features such rides as a Bentley Spur, Rolls Royce Phantom, Mercedes Benz S63 AMG and several others you probably can’t afford.
Obviously luxury comes with a price, and in this case it’s a $50 minimum ride, with a per-mile cost of $7 on a base fare of $21. Basically, you should be looking to ride at least five miles to get the most out of your money.
Like maybe going out to the Byron Nelson at the Four Seasons? That could make it worth it. Or roll up to White Out Saturday night in a Phantom to complete the Miami Beach imagery.
To select your ride in luxury, pick the DLUX on the Uber app beginning at 5 pm on Thursday, May 16. Unfortunately, the luxury rides are available only through Sunday morning.
Have you ever done the walk of shame in a Rolls? Well, this might be your only chance.
