Greenville Avenue pizzeria hits hip East Dallas ’hood for next location

A veteran by restaurant standards, the 10-year-old Greenville Avenue Pizza Company will open a second branch in East Dallas. The location, at Garland and Peavy roads, has been on the upswing ever since Good 2 Go Taco opened there in 2011. The opening is slated for fall 2016.
The restaurant will take over a cozy 1,000-square-foot space that was formerly a tattoo parlor, and it will primarily handle pickup and to-go orders. However, there will be 16 seats for guests who want to dine in.
GAPCo owners Sammy and Molly Mandell have a connection to the area, as they grew up there and attended nearby Bryan Adams High School.
"With our second location, we’ve come full circle and are thrilled to be opening in East Dallas," the couple says in a release. "The success of our Lower Greenville location has been overwhelming and more than we could’ve ever imagined, and we feel so fortunate to have this opportunity to expand and share our concept with the community where we grew up."
Like the Greenville Avenue original, the East Dallas branch will observe late-night hours, opening from 11 am–1 am, with a menu featuring favorites from the Lower Greenville original, including pizza, hot sandwiches, wings, garlic knots, and beer and wine.
Other restaurants that have opened in the same East Dallas neighborhood include Goodfriend, 20 Feet Seafood Joint, Goodfriend Package, Cultivar Coffee, and Cow Tipping Creamery.
