This week is pretty epic for food, y'all. Not only do we have pop-ups hosted by some of Dallas' most well-known chefs, we also get to indulge in lobster, poke, brisket, and fried foods galore. Say it again: epic.

John Tesar's Pop-Up Lobster Bake
Northeast-native chef John Tesar knows summer isn’t complete without a good ol' fashioned lobster bake. The menu includes New England lobster, steamers, sausage, steak, roasted potatoes, French fries, fresh tomato salad, corn on the cob, homemade peach cobbler, and ice cream. Tickets are $90, and the dinner is at 7 pm. This event is BYOB but guests can opt for a rosé and beer add-on for another $35. But where is it, you ask? The location is announced to ticket holders upon purchase.

Poke and Sake at Dallas Fish Market
This special event is aimed at everyone who's wondering what alcoholic pairings are best for their poke. Dallas Fish Market, it turns out, is going with sake. Courses include crispy shrimp rice balls, wasabi ponzu tuna, spicy salmon, tempura shrimp, yellowtail, and a strawberry and shisho tart. Tickets are $60, and the dinner begins at 6:30 pm.
Tequila Dinner at Cantina Laredo Addison
Evoking the flavors of modern Mexico City cuisine, Cantina Laredo hosts this exclusive four-course tequila dinner featuring distinctive off-the-menu items. Meat Fight 1K at Tupps Brewery
America's favorite 1K is back for another year of meat, medals, and mischief. This fun stroll benefits Meat Fight, Meat Bike, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The event is sold out (of course it is, it's Meat Fight!), however, the race starts at 7 pm, should you want to cheer the runners on in spirit from the comfort of your air-conditioned home.

Big Tex Choice Awards at Fair Park
Each year, State Fair concessionaires fry up tasty and unique foods for a chance to become a finalist in the Big Tex Choice Awards. Finalists for 2017 include deep fried chicken noodle soup on a stick, pinot noir popcorn, Texas fajita fries, fried Froot Loops and more. All proceeds from the Big Tex Choice Awards ceremony are donated to the State Fair of Texas Youth Scholarship Program. Tickets are $100, and the event kicks off at 2 pm.
Chad Houser Pop-Up Dinner at Hyena's
Chef Chad Houser from Cafe Momentum is preparing a special four-course dinner that's paired with beverages from Peticolas Brewing. Dinner is followed by a 70-minute acoustic set by Vaden Todd Lewis of the Toadies. Tickets are $95, and the dinner starts at 7 pm.
