A healthy restaurant from Houston is coming to Dallas, its first expansion beyond the Bayou. Bellagreen American Bistro, which is also a Certified Green Restaurant, will open at Dallas' greenest center, The Hill, at 8041 Walnut Hill Ln., on November 8.

This will be Bellagreen's seventh location, and two more are teed up for North Texas, both in Plano: one at The Shops at Legacy in December and another at Preston Road and Park Boulevard in early 2019.

Bellagreen CEO Jason Morgan says in a release that they're excited for Dallas to enjoy the Bellagreen experience.

"Our mission is to make life and earth more beautiful with every meal," he says. "We believe restaurants should support and improve the communities they serve through high-quality foods and sustainable environmental practices. We are passionate about accommodating guests with specific dietary needs. At Bellagreen, every individual can enjoy a high-quality meal at an affordable price in a comfortable environment, our guests don’t have to sacrifice one for the other."

Bellagreen was founded in 2008 as Ruggles Green, a fast-casual concept serving appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, tacos, burgers, pizzas, pastas, and desserts. (They changed their name in 2017.)

Their menu accommodates a wide range of dietary needs such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, Keto, Paleo, Whole 30, and more.

Notable menu items include honey fried goat cheese and arugula salad, brick chicken, and tri-tip sandwich. Seasonal specials include dishes such as Paleo spaghetti squash Bolognese. Catering is also a focus for the brand.

Bellagreen operates using only low-impact, environmentally green spaces that leverage water-saving devices, alternative power sources, and green practices.

The Dallas location has 3,672 square feet and will accommodate 84 guests. It features an open kitchen and repurposed elements that have been incorporated into light fixtures, tabletops, and wall features. A 774-square-foot patio seats an additional 48 guests.

They're open daily for lunch and dinner, from 11 am-9 pm Monday-Friday, and 10:30 am-10 pm Saturday-Sunday.
