These Dallas-Fort Worth bars are open on Thanksgiving 2017
Whether you're itching to get out of the house after a royal Thanksgiving feast, or looking for a place to sip and watch some football, there are bars in Dallas-Fort Worth that are ready to serve.
With the Dallas Cowboys game, you can count on pretty much every sports bar being open for business. Most hotel bars, too.
But here are more bars ready to greet you on Thanksgiving Day:
Barcadia Bar & Grill
Both the Dallas and the Fort Worth locations of this retro hangout will be open. Dallas hosts a DJ on Thanksgiving Eve and then bounces back for the holiday.
Barley House
Favorite bar near SMU opens at 3:30 pm with sports on TV and a feature for holiday "orphans:" chicken pot pies on special for $5.
Basement Bar
Cozy Stockyards spot will host a Thanksgiving Eve party, then come back and open on Thanksgiving Day, too, from 6 pm to 2 am.
Billy Bob's Texas
Fort Worth's best honky-tonk bar opens at 3 pm and stays open until midnight.
City Tavern
Urban spot in downtown Dallas will open, as it does every day, at 11 am.
Crafty Irishman Public House
Centrally located downtown Dallas pub swings the doors open on Thanksgiving Day at the highly civilized hour of 1 pm, serving a full dinner menu, and closes at 2 am.
Double Wide
As part of its holiday tradition, Double Wide opens at 8 pm, with a potluck dinner and karaoke.
Eastwood's Bar
McKinney Avenue spot is ready to roll at 11 am with the Dallas Cowboys and all three NFL games on their big TVs. Plus $8 Miller Lite pitchers and happy hour from 4-8 pm.
Flying Saucer Draught Emporium
Downtown Fort Worth beer temple is open 5 pm to midnight.
The Goat
Lakewood dive bar will open on Thanksgiving like it does every other Thursday: at 7 am.
Idle Rich Pub
This will be the last Thanksgiving for this McKinney Avenue pub, which will be open from 8 pm-2 am.
Ivy Tavern
Lemmon Avenue bar will open at 3 pm to gear up for the Dallas Cowboys game, with dancing, drink specials, and snacks.
Lakewood Landing
East Dallas dive bar open at 8 pm — for but for drinks only, as the kitchen is closed.
Lee Harvey’s
Casual Cedars spot opens at 6 pm for its usual laid-back fun.
Libertine Bar
Greenville Avenue staple opens the doors for good beer on tap and hijinks at 6 pm.
Meddlesome Moth
Design District restaurant-bar starts the holiday early with a Thanksgiving brunch commencing at 10 am, then stays open all day long.
Nodding Donkey
Uptown neighborhood bar opens at 3 pm and encourages you to bring your family and friends to watch the Cowboys game.
Old Monk
Henderson Avenue pub opens at 3 pm, and the kitchen is open until midnight.
The Rustic
Uptown hangout with great outdoor space and live music opens at 6 pm, serving food and booze.
Three Links
Welcoming Deep Ellum bar hosts its annual turkey potluck and Cowboys watch party. They're bringing in a "big-ass fried turkey" and ham from Rudolph's Meat Market, and encourage you to bring the sides and desserts. Festivities start at 3 pm.
