New-to-Texas sweet shop Chip Cookies delivers warm gooey cookies to Plano

Chip Cookies, now baking in Plano.
A new cookie has come to Texas: Chip Cookies, a gourmet cookie delivery franchise known for freshly baked cookies, has made its Texas debut with its first location in Plano, at 2401 Preston Rd. #E in Plano.
Chip was founded in Utah in 2016 by husband-and-wife Sean and Sarah Wilson, and currently has 18 locations in Utah, Idaho, Alabama, and Florida. They also ship cookies nationwide.
Their standard box comes with four large cookies from a menu that includes:
- the OG chocolate chip cookie
- Biscoff chip
- sugar chip
- a weekly rotating flavor
Chip also offers 9-count mini options of the OG and sugar chip cookies.
A box of four cookies runs from $14.50 to $17.50, depending on selection, or 12 cookies for $38.
Their cookies are larger than the usual cookie delivery cookie, and have a pretty pale sandy appearance. The releases stresses that they are very gooey and such inside.
Local franchisee is Scott Coombs and the store manager is Allen McFarland. Coombs is a first-time franchisor who grew up in Utah, Chip Cookies' headquarters, and fell in love with the concept. McFarland has experience in the franchising and restaurant industry.
“The most exciting part of this opportunity is the chance to form a deep connection with the Plano community," Coombs says in a statement. "Everyone loves cookies."
The chain is also opening a location in Houston at 14309 E. Sam Houston Parkway N. in mid-November, with more stores in the works for California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and Montana, cookies cookies everywhere.
