This weekend's dining plans will be dominated by Easter, but there are other notable – and tasty – events happening before the holiday. On the menu: Texas wine and Waygu, macarons, acai bowls, and fresh-made pasta. Also don’t miss a grownup Easter egg hunt where the kids have to stay at home.
Tuesday, April 4
Wine & Macaron Pairing Experience at Lone Star Wine Cellars
Visit the McKinney wine room for a sweet pairing. The $37 ticket, plus a small fee, includes five wine tastings and macarons to pair with each. All the pairings will be guided by Lone Star’s certified wine expert. The tasting will run from 7-8:30 pm.
Pasta Night at Pizzana
The still-new pizzeria on Knox Street devotes the night to pasta (although the entire regular menu will be available, too). Chef Daniele Uditi is coming to Dallas from Pizzana's Los Angeles location to treat diners to his authentic, hand-made pasta on one night only. Featured dishes (priced a la carte) will include: tonnarelli alla carbonara, garganelli alle vodka, mafaldine alla bolognese, and tonnarelli al basilico, plus a special focaccia al formaggio. Texas Fine Wine Dinner at Boulevardier
Visit the Bishop Arts bistro for a five-course dinner featuring eight Texas wines. Winemakers and owners from Bending Branch Winery, Duchman Family Winery, Perdernales Cellars, and Spicewood Vineyards will be on site for pairings and conversation. Menu highlights include braised lamb ricotta gnocchi, Texas Wagyu coulette, and strawberry rhubarb galette with cream cheese ice cream. Dinner is $145, plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 6:30 pm.

Acai Bowl giveaway at Everbowl
Mark Acai Bowl Day with a free one from Everbowl, a Southern California-based superfood chain with four locations in the Dallas area. Visit from 3-5 pm for a complimentary small classic Everbowl, which comes topped with granola, blueberries, bananas, and strawberries. Locations include Oak Lawn, the Crescent, McKinney, and Flower Mound.
Tagliatelle alla Bolognese Live Event at Eataly
The gourmet Italian market and dining destination will kick off its monthly Icons of Eataly restaurant takeover with a focus on the classic tagliatelle alla bolongnese. Taking place inside Eataly’s La Pizza & La Pasta restaurant, the event will feature the iconic pasta dish along with fresh pasta-making demos, live music, and a chance to see Eataly’s cheesemongers crack 80-pound wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano. The event is $30 and includes the Bolognese dinner. Reservations are open between 5-10 pm, and the restaurant’s full menu will also be available.
Adult Easter Egg Hunt at Old City Park
BYOB – as in “basket” and “beverages” – during this adults-only (21 and up) Easter egg hunt at Old City Park in Dallas. Find eggs filled with goodies like candy bars, free merchandise, and tickets good for beer at Four Corners Brewing. Also play yard games and listen to live music. The event will run from 6-8 pm, but the hunt itself starts at 6:30 pm sharp. Admission is $10 at the gate.
