Steak, sushi, and Shakespeare are on the menu this week – the latter in the form of a themed pub crawl. Folks can also get artsy with wine and watercolor during an interactive class and sample cuisine by talented local female chefs. Note that reservations are required for all events this week, so secure them quickly.
Wednesday, March 8
Hai for Her at Uchiba Dallas
The Hai Hospitality Group, whose signature restaurants include Uchi, Uchiko, Uchiba, and Loro, will celebrate International Women’s Day with a collaborative dinner. Female culinary team members will prepare a special selection of a la carte dishes and desserts, including brisket bao, pork katsu bun, and yakitori items like bacon-wrapped mochi. Proceeds will benefit the Young Women’s Preparatory Network. The event will take place at Uchiba from 5-11 pm.
Omakase at Kessaku
It’s time for another omakase dinner on the 50th floor at Kessaku downtown. The Japanese multicourse meal will feature 10-12 seasonal dishes along with sake and cocktail pairings. Dinner is $250 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 6 pm.
Watercolor & Wine at Ellie’s
Dallas artist Brie Milam will teach watercolor techniques for guests to create their own masterpieces. The class will take place on Ellie’s Terrace. Tickets are $75 and include a glass of wine, light bites, all supplies, and valet parking. Class will run from 6:30-8:30 pm.

Festa del Donna at Eataly
In honor of International Women's Day, Eataly Dallas and Les Dames d’Escoffier International are presenting a storewide celebration to recognize talented Dallas-area women chefs, business owners, farmers, bartenders, sommeliers, and entrepreneurs. The event will feature more than 25 female-led tasting stations with bites and drinks, along with live music, a photo booth, a silent auction, wine bottle hand-engraving station, and more. Shakespeare Dallas Pub Crawl
Attention friends, Romans, and countrymen: Shakespeare Dallas theater group will host its annual pub crawl at four Deep Ellum bars. Stops will include Twilite Lounge, 3 Links, Trinity Cider, and Ruins. Tickets include discounts at the participating bars, a Shakespeare Dallas souvenir cup, and live entertainment along the way. Tickets are $20 for general admission, or $15 for Shakespeare Dallas subscribers. Attendees may travel as a group from place to place or join in at any point. The four-hour event, which will start at 2 pm at Twilite Lounge, will conclude with a Shakespeare trivia competition for prizes. Don’t forget to dress up for the costume contest.
A Taste of Two Legends at Morton’s
The Dallas outlet of the high-end steakhouse chain will host a five-course wine dinner featuring California’s Justin wines. Courses will include caviar and crème fraiche, crab-stuffed oysters, grilled lamb chops, braised beef cheeks, and hot sticky toffee cake. Wines to be poured will include rose, Sauvignon Blanc, and two red blends. Dinner begins at 6:30 pm and is $169 per person, which includes gratuity but not tax.
