Dallas Tex-Mex restaurant Mesero to open largest location yet in Allen
A favorite Dallas Tex-Mex restaurant is coming to Allen: Mesero, is opening a flagship location at The Farm in Allen, the mixed-use destination at the southeast corner of Sam Rayburn Tollway and Alma Drive. It's a ways off: According to a release, it'll open in late 2024.
Mesero was founded in 2011 by restaurateur Mico Rodriguez, but is currently owned by a consortium called Mesero Restaurant Group. It has seven locations across DFW including Victory Park, Preston Hollow, Southlake, and Fort Worth.
It's an upscale restaurant featuring Mexican-inspired flavors, elevated Tex-Mex, cocktails, and wines by the glass.
The Allen location will be at the entrance of The Farm, off Alma Road, and will include a spacious dining room, indoor/covered outdoor bar area, private dining, and patio overlooking the newly opened West Lake Park. It will be the largest Mesero location.
Mesero CEO Trey Dyer says in a statement that they've been searching for the right location in Allen.
“For a plethora of reasons, Allen was the most logical place to put a flagship Mesero,” Dyer says. “We have searched for more than a year for the perfect space in North Texas, and The Farm stood out as the clear leader. With its great location in Allen near major thoroughfares and several top entertainment companies building at The Farm, we see this as a unique opportunity to grow our brand.”
JaRyCo, along with the original landowners, the Johnson family, have strategically chosen venues for The Farm in Allen that reflect its original history of gathering, community and making memories.
Mesero will be positioned in a walkable environment near retail and entertainment venues, including The HUB, which opened last year. High 5 and Chicken N Pickle, which are both planned to open next year, are in The Farm’s Central District.
“With its authenticity to North Texas, Mesero will bring an elevated social vibe and become a unique component to The Farm’s live, work and play aspect,” says Bruce Heller, president of JaRyCo. “The quality of the food and service is unmatched, and we can’t wait for Collin County to try it for the first time here at The Farm.”
Upon completion, The Farm in Allen will have 1.6 million square feet of office space, 142,000 square feet of retail, a 150-key hotel, 60,000 square feet of restaurants, 112 townhomes, 2,400 urban residential units, a 1.5-acre lake, boardwalk restaurants, more than 2.5 miles of hike and bike trails, a 16-acre greenbelt along Watters Creek, and four additional park areas.
