Thai food is coming to The Colony: Tande Thai, a new modern Thai restaurant, will open its first location at Grandscape in The Colony, at 5754 Grandscape Blvd #105.

According to a release, it'll open in the spring.

Tande Thai is from chef Paul Imjard, a native of Thailand who is drawing inspiration from the recipes of his childhood, with a menu he's developed with his mother.

Imjard’s journey began in 2012 when he helped launch a restaurant with his family. He left a 15-year career in engineering and investment management, studying at Le Cordon Bleu before transitioning into the culinary world full-time.

Tande Thai’s menu ranges from lettuce wraps loaded with pork belly and fresh herbs to braised short ribs in Panang curry sauce to curated cocktails like an old-fashioned featuring a coconut water-infused ice cube and marries traditional Thai flavors with contemporary culinary techniques.

“At Tande Thai, ‘Eat Well, Live Well’ isn't just a motto; it's a way of life, as the name Tande means ‘eat well’ in Thai,” Imjard says in a statement. “We are committed to providing high-quality, authentic Thai cuisine that nourishes both the body and soul. Drawing upon my roots and culinary journey, I have curated a menu that showcases the essence of Thai flavors, with ingredients sourced directly from Thailand to ensure an unmatched taste profile for our guests.”

They'll start slowly, opening for dinner only during the first month, at 5pm on weekdays and 3pm on weekends.

They'll join more than 3 dozen restaurants at the Grandscape including Thirsty Lion, Quartino, the Great Greek, Portillo's, Davio's North Italian Steakhouse, and Parry's Pizzeria.

Dallas Stars owner to open beer-centric Craft restaurant in the U.S.

A restaurant concept from Canada is opening its first U.S. location in little old Dallas: Called Craft Restaurant & Beer Market, it's a small chain with an emphasis on craft beer and elevated casual dining opening in Preston Center at 5974 W Northwest Hwy.

That location is a former medical office, across the street from the Starbucks at the corner of Kate Street. According to a release, it will open in in early 2026 — their first in the American market.

The concept was founded in 2019 by craft beer wunderking PJ L'Heureux, who is partnered with Tom Gaglardi, owner of the Dallas Stars and the Moxies chain. It will feature more 100 beers on tap including local Texas brews, along with cocktails, wine, and a fresh, globally inspired menu.

L'Heureux calls Dallas "a natural fit" for Craft.

"Our large restaurant footprint, commitment to local products, and dedication to community are what Texas is all about," L'Heureux says in a statement. "Texas and specifically the Preston area of Dallas, with its booming economy, diverse culture, and love for craft cocktails and beer, is the perfect place for us to begin this exciting new chapter."

The Dallas location will be a state-of-the-art, 10,500 sq. ft. space with a modern yet welcoming interior, featuring warm woods, industrial accents, and a massive 360-degree bar as its center.

The space will also include a 5,250 sq. ft. rooftop patio, complete with a full bar, cozy booth seating, lush greenery, and a games area, offering the perfect atmosphere for both casual gatherings and special celebrations.

Craft president Scott Frank says that the chain, which has nine locations across Canada, likes to create unique menus and partnerships in each of the communities they are in.

"CRAFT has always been about bringing people together, and we're thrilled to share our passion for craft beer, exceptional dining, and community building with our friends in the Texas market," added L'Heureux.
