Art Party
Dallas Contemporary ushers in new exhibitions with VIP celebration
To introduce its five new installations, Dallas Contemporary recently threw an exclusive party for members and VIPs. The intimate get-together gave the Contemporary's most valued supporters a chance to get see the exhibits one day ahead of the public.
Guests — including Cindy and Howard Rachofsky, Marlene and John Sughrue, Janelle and Alden Pinnell, Muffin Lemak, Shelby Wagner, Kristie Ramirez, Nicole Musselman, and Karla McKinley — ate, drank and admired the new works while DJ Blake Ward provided the party's soundtrack.
Dallas Contemporary couldn't be more enthused about these five fresh exhibits, on display until March 9:
- JR: Inside out
- Arthur Peña: Slight shift, steady hand
- Paula Crown: Inside My Head: A contemporary self-portrait
- Lavish: Design in Dallas
- Les Miserables: Post-conceptual art
Sound like something you'd be into? Good news: Dallas Contemporary offers free admission as part of its goal to engage the public through exhibitions, lectures, educational programs and events.
