Ladies Who Lunch
The Bachelor's Catherine Lowe delights polished Dallas lunch crowd
You could hear the heels clicking from a block away as hundreds of young professional women headed up to the Tower Club for Polish's monthly luncheon. These gals couldn't wait to hear from guest speaker Catherine Lowe, who chatted about her new marriage (she met hubby Sean on ABC's The Bachelor) and growing faith.
Guests — including Katie Myers, Tracy Melton, Kristin Mullen, Shanda Melendez and Stephanie Nguyen — dined on Mexican food while welcoming the newcomers in the crowd. Lunch was followed by initial remarks by Polish co-founder Kat Armstrong, who then introduced Lowe.
"Catherine won over our attendees because she is intelligent, articulate and, most important, genuine about her faith in Christ," Armstrong said. "Our Polish attendees have come to expect speakers and topics relevant to their careers and personal lives, and they respect our commitment to speaking authentically about things that really matter."
Nothing was off-limits during the conversation. Topics ranged from Lowe's journey on The Bachelor to her religious husband to her passion for one day having a big family — much like the one she married into. This was Lowe's first public speaking appearance, but she had mother-in-law Sherry Lowe and business partner Megan Smalley — from C. Lowe Notes by Scarlet & Gold — in the crowd to support her.
Each girl left with a final rose (a fun Bachelor touch) courtesy of Posh Floral, and one lucky winner walked away with a gorgeous floral arrangement.
The next Polish luncheon is set for September 3, with guest speaker Missy Williams, founder of the Seed Effect, who will share the incredible work being done with women entrepreneurs in South Sudan. Tickets are available online.
