Moonlight Ball shines elegant light on good works of Ronald McDonald House

Hundreds of twinkling votive candles and gorgeous arrangements of white hydrangeas, roses, tulips and dogwood blossoms set the stage for the 10th annual Moonlight Ball benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. Co-chairs Jan Daulton and Melinda Emmons greeted guests warmly during the cocktail reception that preceded a three-course dinner at Brook Hollow Golf Club.

 

Before the meal began, 2014 board chairwoman Natalie Dossett delivered a heartfelt message about the important work that RMHD does for the families who stay there. She then introduced honorary chairmen Sally and Mike McWilliams, who have served RMHD for the past 25 years.

 

Sally began volunteering as a Junior Leaguer 25 years ago and still volunteers at the front desk every week. She has also served on the board and in other leadership roles, as has her husband, who was the board chairman in 2010 and 2011.

 

The evening concluded with guests — including Pam and Matt Mattingly, Ann and Doug Smellage, Mary and Tim Rooney, and Bunny and Harold Ginsburg — dancing the night away to music by Signed, Sealed, Delivered.

 

In the last decade, the Moonlight Ball has raised more than $1.5 million for the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas to aid in its mission to serve and sustain families when serious illness or injury strikes the most cherished part of their lives: their children.
