Dapper Dallas gents join well-heeled ladies for 6th annual Stiletto Strut
What do you get when a couple hundred lovely Dallas ladies are invited to wear their favorite heels for a trot around Neiman Marcus Downtown? Stiletto Strut, of course — and perhaps a few blistered toes.
Guys in lace-ups joined gals in sky-high designer heels for the sixth annual fete benefiting the Family Place. Dapper hosts Robert Weatherly, Bryan Curran, Chuck Jacaman and Jerry Rasansky helped launch the new Loafer Lounge at the The Joule, where the men sat back and relaxed while they waited for the women to arrive.
We think those guys had the best idea. Gentlemen such as John Bobbitt, Lonnier Jordan, Daniel Marty and Ricky Grunden kicked back to beats by DJs Jennifer Miller, Paul Paredes and Nick van House as we girls hit the pavement in support of the nonprofit’s efforts to end family violence.
Fueled by champagne and Fluffpop cotton candy, supporters such as Shona Gilbert, Maggie Kipp, Yvonne Crum, Claire Emanuelson and Dee Dee Lee purchased raffle tickets and posed like models in the photo booth while DJ Lucy Wrubel provided the sounds. Then event chairs Jenifer Strauss, Stacy Girard and Lindsay Jacaman ledthe ladies out of the department store and down the street to crash the boys' party at the Joule.
“I have been involved with the Family Place for many years and was so excited that [executive director] Paige Flink asked Lindsay, Stacy and I to combine our love of shoes and our devotion to this worthwhile cause,” Strauss said.
