Families party like animals at Kid To Do benefit for Dallas Zoo

There are few outings children enjoy more than a trip to the zoo. So Dallas parents packed up the kiddos and headed to the Dallas Zoo for the second annual safari-themed Kid To Do.

Event chairs Julie and Rob Little, along with honorary chairs Kellie Raspberry and daughter Emma Kelly, welcomed supporters for an afternoon filled with bounce houses, face painting and crafts. Oh, and animals, of course, including giraffes, camels and birds in a private show.

The wild block party spread throughout the zoo, from the Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo to Giants of the Savanna, Cat Green in ZooNorth and Picnic Ridge. Even though the evening was (clearly) all about the kids, adults had their fair share of fun too. Plus they got to savor tasty bites from Dallas restaurants such as Pecan Lodge, Cook Hall, Max’s Wine Dive, Which Wich, Uncle Julio’s, Start and Shinsei.

Among the revelers: Gina and Scott Ginsburg and their kids, Jonathan and William; Maggie Kipp and her daughters, Caroline and Katie; Katherine Coker and her daughter, Olivia; Dallas Zoological Society president Michael Meadows and his wife, Amy; and restaurant chairs Tracy and Kent Rathbun.

Proceeds from Kid To Do enable the Dallas Zoological Society to support the Dallas Zoo as a center of education, entertainment and wildlife conservation.
