Family Place fans come together for 21st annual Partners Card kickoff
The Dallas summer social scene is all about small soirees, where philanthropists gather to share cocktails and conversation in anticipation of their favorite fall charitable events.
The Westin Galleria was the scene of one such affair, when Family Place fans gathered to kick off the 21st annual Partners Card. The celebratory evening was filled with flowing cocktails; tasty nibbles; and a fashion show featuring looks from The Gap, Marciano, Bachrach and Karen Millen.
Among the notables on the scene were Partners Card co-chairs Annika Cail, Katy Duvall, Sara Friedman and Shay Geyer, who was later announced as this year’s honorary co-chair, along with her mother, Beth Rafferty, of IBB Design Fine Furnishings.
Mother and daughter are both acclaimed interior designers dedicated to giving back. Geyer dabbles in many charities, including Family Place, Dwell With Dignity, Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum, Family Gateway, and Equest.
Joining these leading philanthropic ladies on the scene were Jennifer and Chris LeLash, Krystal Schlegel, Shivangi Pokharel, Cary Deuber, Maggie Kipp, Renee Rouleau, Melissa Sherill, Mike Plouff, Daniel Friedman, and Holly Davis.
Partners Card — set for October 25-November 3 — is the largest fundraiser for the Family Place. Every year, the card gives shoppers a 20 percent discount at more than 750 participating retailers throughout Dallas-Fort Worth. All proceeds from $70 card go directly to the Family Place to support its mission to eliminate family violence through intervention and proactive prevention, extensive community education, advocacy, and assistance for victims and their families.
