More Art to Love
ARTsPARK at NorthPark Center has surprises in store for 5th anniversary
The annual ARTsPARK at NorthPark Center, taking place April 5, is an event that encourages everybody to make art a part of their everyday lives. Organizers are going bigger for the fifth anniversary, adding a second day they've dubbed ARTsPARK After Dark.
The After Dark event actually takes place the day before, starting at 6:30 pm on April 4. It features a variety of entertainment and interactive arts activities with the goal of encouraging financial and volunteer support for ARTsPARK and the participating arts organizations.
Toward that goal, After Dark is a paid event, costing $25 per person. The regular ARTsPARK is free as always.
At ARTsPARK, expect the usual array of performances, demonstrations and hands-on opportunities to learn a new creative skill. Among the 20-plus participating arts organizations are City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, Crow Collection of Asian Art, Dallas Children’s Theater, Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center, SMU Meadows School of the Arts and Dallas Zoo.
