Hit the Trails
Get an early start on unique holiday shopping at Richardson arts and crafts festival
As the temperature starts to cool and the leaves begin to change, that's the signal that it's also time for one of Richardson's most beloved festivals: Huffhines Art Trails.
Whether you're a longtime supporter or have yet to discover this artistic utopia, there are a few important things to note before the festival kicks off October 19-20.
All the art
This year will showcase the creative work of more than 130 artists and craftsmen — and that also translates to an extraordinary shopping experience. The vast selection of handmade goods provides a variety of unique choices for holiday gifts.
Live for live music
With a beautiful backdrop of fall colors, Huffhines Park not only provides plenty of photo opps but also a schedule that's jam-packed with entertainment. Enjoy all-day music from the Front Porch Stage or the new Backyard Stage, as local acoustic duo Taylor-DeLatte, blues-rock group Joey Love, Fort Worth rockers The 222 Band, country vocalist the Valenzuela Band, jazz musicians Those Guys TX, and so many more take the stage.
Pups welcome
Bring along your furry sidekick to Pawtoberfest, a special feature happening only on Saturday, October 19. There will be dog-centric vendors, crafts, a Yappy Hour, and even costume contests, all guaranteeing it'll be the best "pawty" in town.
Indulge, y'all
In need of a cold beverage? Take a stroll through one of the Craft Beer Gardens, or sink your teeth into festival foods of all types from the visiting vendors.
