Summertime is the only time for these decadent Dallas spa specials
    play icon

In our opinion, all you really need for a "summer body" is smooth, healthy-looking skin and pretty toenails. Luckily, many Dallas spas agree, so they are offering summer-only specials that conjure up thoughts of ocean breezes and tropical drinks.

Take advantage of the treatments at these seven spas:

    Bellacures
Treat yourself at Bellacures at Preston Center, where the staff brings the beach to Dallas. The Los Angeles Beach Sand Manicure and Pedicure service includes coconut lime verbena warm hand and foot soak, sand scrub with grapeseed oil, minty clay refreshing mask, coconut oil massage, and coconut butter cream. Also enjoy a complimentary Green Goddess Juice from Roots Pressed Juices.

The manicure is $40, and the pedicure is $50 during June and July.

    Exhale Dallas
With a holistic offering that includes barre, yoga and core fusion classes along with a variety of spa therapies, Exhale Dallas is a one-stop-shop for a getaway without leaving town. Exhale’s Summer Slimdown is a great way to get in shape this summer while grabbing some great discounts and exclusive swag. Sign up for a package of 12 classes with two bonus passes to use or share for $250, or 24 classes, plus four bonus passes to use or share, for $350.

Each class package includes 10 percent off boutique purchases through September 6, plus a swag bag complete with summer goodies and Exhale fitness apparel. Schedule a facial or deep tissue massage to round out your experience.

    Hiatus Spa + Retreat
Go on an 80-minute vacay without leaving Dallas with a visit to Hiatus. Try the refreshing Watermelon Crush in July, featuring a scrub of organic cane sugar, watermelon seeds and mint, complete with a vivacious Midori cocktail to finish the experience.

In August, the full-body Key Lime Pie treatment will leave guests feeling fresh and energetic. Celebrate the heat of the season with September’s Firefly retreat with warming spices of Masala Chai, ginger, clove, nutmeg and cinnamon. Get them while they last: Monthly retreats feature limited-time treatments for $195.

    Mokara Spa at Omni Dallas
Talk about a sweet escape: Mokara Spa has recently launched two honey-inspired treatments to celebrate the new honey-centric menu items available at Omni Dallas Hotel. An organic pampering experience awaits with the Honey & Wild Berry Sparkling Facial. The beneficial properties of the antioxidants found in organic fruits, vegetables and herbs infuse this $100 twist on Mokara’s summer facial.

In the mood for a head-to-toe experience? Try the Honey Mandarin Massage: a classic Swedish massage enhanced by custom-blended aromatherapy oils of mandarin and honey for hydration and complete relaxation for $105. The specials are available through Labor Day.

    The Ritz-Carlton Spa
When everyone else is stuck behind a desk, sneak away to the Ritz-Carlton Spa during June and August. The spa is offering its annual $99 massage/facial special that treats guests to either a 50-minute Ritz-Carlton Signature Massage or a 50-minute Organic Facial, complete with customized attention to the guest’s skin type and needs.

In July, try the 50-minute Migraine Miracle: a massage that combines aromatherapy, pressure point therapy and cold therapy to dramatically reduce headache symptoms. In the mood for something a little sweeter? Sample the brand-new Honey Butterscotch Rum Manicure-Pedicure. It starts with a soak in nectar milk and a delicious butter rum scrub before finishing off with a silky-smooth Ginger Sorbet Body Milk that will leave digits feeling smoother than a fine cocktail.

Well & Being Spa & Salon at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas
The services at the newly revamped Four Seasons spa might be the most splash-worthy specials this summer. Enjoy a watermelon-basil vodkatini sugar scrub polish and a whipped citrus-vanilla shea butter cream massage during the Watermelonade Massage and Body Refresher for $140.

Give your hands and feet the attention they deserve with the mani-pedi combo featuring an antioxidant-rich citrus-cilantro soak with a grapeseed and olive fruit oil blend. Enjoy the same sugar scrub and massage offered with the Watermelonade Massage and Body Refresher when you indulge in the Watermelonade Manicure and Pedicure. The 25-minute manicure costs $50, while the 50-minute pedicure costs $85.

Both treatments are available June 1 through August 31.

    ZaSpa Dallas at Hotel ZaZa
Wash your cares away with the C’est La Vie Facial at ZaSpa Dallas. The oasis located on the second floor of Hotel ZaZa is the perfect place for the 50-minute facial infused with vitamins, antioxidants and coenzymes for a firm lift and tone that leaves guests grinning from ear to ear.

CultureMap readers are in for a treat: Book this or any other 50- or 80-minute therapy at regular price and choose either the Flip Side! Back Facial or Smooth Moves Body Scrub for just another $50. Mention the exclusive code "ZaZaLovesCM" at the time of booking. Good through August.

Honey-inspired retreats await at Mokara Spa.

Texas romances as the No. 3 best state for singles in new report

Dating, best states for singles, best places to date

Texans are in the right place to find love.

Finding love in the Lone Star State is easier than almost anywhere else in the country, so says a new study.

Texas ranked as the third best state for singles in WalletHub's annual "Best and Worst States for Singles" report, which compared all 50 states based on their "dating economics" (cost of living metrics and date-related costs like average price for coffee or a haircut), dating opportunities (such as an "openness to relationships" score or the share of single adults), and a romance and fun ranking (calculated based on various entertainment venues and attractions per capita).

WalletHub said Texas is the fourth most "romantic and fun" state for singles, and it ranked No. 6 nationally for its ample dating opportunities. In the dating economics category, Texas came in 18th.

For the second year in a row, Texas tied with California for the most movie theaters per capita, and it landed in a four-way tie with California, New York, and Florida for the highest number of restaurants per capita.

In Dallas, many of the best local restaurants are gearing up for a romantic Valentine's Day weekend with dinner and drink specials and decadent desserts. Or singles can skip a traditional dinner and instead impress their date by taking them to a romantic Valentine's-themed event.

The report's author said Texas offers "endless opportunities" for singles to find love because of its diversity, dense population, and its numerous date venues. Texans are also much more open to relationships than residents in other states, the report found.

"People in the Lone Star State are less likely than people in most states to show signs of 'attachment avoidance,' or discomfort with intimacy, based on nationwide psychological surveys," the report said. "In other words, if you’re looking for commitment, Texas is a good place to search."

WalletHub also gave a small shout-out to Texas' booming economy and high employment growth rates, which show the state has "a robust job market and expanding opportunities for workers across a wide range of industries."

The top 10 best states for singles in 2026 are:

    • No. 1 – Florida
    • No. 2 – New York
    • No. 3 – Texas
    • No. 4 – California
    • No. 5 – Illinois
    • No. 6 – Wisconsin
    • No. 7 – Pennsylvania
    • No. 8 – Massachusetts
    • No. 9 – Ohio
    • No. 10 – Minnesota
