Pet of the Week
No more foolish games: Take home Jewel the pretty kitty from SPCA of Texas
Great news: Azel the precious pup from last week has been adopted. However, former featured pets Penny and Exotic are still looking for their forever homes.
This week meet Jewel, who came to the SPCA of Texas on July 11 when her owner had to surrender her due to financial reasons. Could she be your new pet? Let’s find out:
Breed: Domestic shorthair black and orange tortoiseshell
Age: 1 year
Weight: 8 pounds
Personality: Normally we don’t advocate judging a book by its cover, but Jewel is as sweet as she is pretty. She likes a good head scratch and a warm lap in which to cuddle. She has lived with people of all ages, and her previous owner says she is very good with babies and little children. What can we say? She’s just a sweetie.
Vital Stats: She has been spayed and microchipped, and she has received all age-appropriate vaccinations.
Come meet Jewel today (#129937) at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
