One of Dallas' most acclaimed new-ish restaurants is getting the Guy Fieri treatment: Rye, the seasonal American small-plates restaurant and cocktail bar at 1920 Greenville Ave., will appear on Food Network in March in an episode of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.
2. Guy Fieri chicken restaurant to open first Texas location in Dallas. Chicken a la Guy Fieri has come to Dallas: Chicken Guy!, the fast-casual restaurant chain from celebrity chef and Emmy Award-winning TV host Guy Fieri, opened its first-ever Texas location in Preston Hollow Village this week.

Birdcall, a Denver-based chain that specializes in fried chicken sandwiches and salads, will open in McKinney at 4702 W. University Dr., in a new center west of US-75.
