    Where to Shop Now

Where to shop in Dallas right now: 8 must-hit stores for July

    Stephanie Allmon Merry
    Jul 9, 2019 | 4:08 pm

Dallas shopping is as hot as the pavement this month. Local designers have created ingenious bags and body-positive swimwear; an entrepreneur has launched a new subscription and rental service; and there are store expansions, openings, and sales galore. Better grab your purse and pounce.

Lele Sadoughi appearance at Forty Five Ten
Headbands are having a moment around the world, thanks in no small part to royal style-setter Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, who has sported them at several high-profile occasions lately. Accessories maven Lele Sadoughi is the new queen of headband designs, and she's coming to Dallas for a personal appearance and trunk show at Forty Five Ten's Highland Park Village location. Fans can shop her latest collection of cult-favorite headbands, iconic acrylic jewelry, and sunglasses from 2-4 pm July 12.

     Swim Shop at Nordstrom Rack
Nordstrom Rack's newly launched Swim Shop dives into eye-catching bathing suits for beach days or pool parties and cover-ups to transition to dry land. The Swim Shop offers a new selection of on-trend swimwear for women, men, and kids, as well as accessories from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom at a savings of up to 70 percent off. The collection includes bikinis, one-pieces, cover-ups, sandals, espadrilles, tote bags, shorts, sunscreen, and more, and is available at all Nordstrom Rack locations and online at NordstromRack.com. (Speaking of sales, if you're a devoted fan of Nordstrom's annual Anniversary Sale, mark your calendar for this year's big event, taking place July 19-August 4.)

     Delgado NYC bags
Like most great inventions, Delgado NYC was born out of necessity. Creator Jerry Delgado has said, "My work bags, gym bags, travel bags or anywhere-in-between bags had one fatal flaw. … It’s what I’ve come to deem as 'the open abyss'. Regardless of the bag, I always found myself digging for lost lip balms, keys, or AirPods." He decided that if he wanted a stylish way to organize his “essential junk,” he would have to create it. So the Gado Bag was born. The Dallas resident selects an assortment of internationally made fabrics and leathers to ensure that the quality of each Gado Bag meets his high standards. And every bag is designed and hand-crafted in his Dallas-based studio. Prices range from $78-$148 and currently are available only on the Delgado NYC website.

Hadleigh’s expansion in Highland Park Village
Move over, Gwyneth. The most recent Goop pop-up space has a new tenant. Hadleigh’s, celebrating its 10th anniversary in Highland Park Village, has taken over the former Goop pop-up location (by the elevator in center court), as of July 5. The new corner space is 350 square feet larger than the previous spot, and it allows them to connect the Ladies shop and Men’s Upstairs Atelier. Meaning: customers now can view all of the incredible Italian-designed pieces under one roof. Hadleigh’s ladies collection, designed by Gable Shaikh, will be exclusively featured at 70 Highland Park Village. The show-stopping interior features blue Terrazzo flooring, blue chaise lounge, and the logo adorning the ceiling — in blue, of course. The tiny Italian-style staircase that leads up to the exclusive men's atelier, so clients can peek into the appointment-only men's shop upstairs.

Outdoor Story at Macy's NorthPark Center
In one of the most unique collaborations this season, Macy's has teamed up with Dick's Sporting Goods and Miracle-Gro for a pop-up experience called "Outdoor Story at Macy's." The “store to explore” is taking place in 36 Macy’s locations nationwide, including Macy’s NorthPark Center in Dallas, from July 9 until some time in September. It promises Macy’s customers an outdoor-inspired playground with a focus on entertaining, bringing the outside indoors, and recreational activities. "Story" will showcase a mix of merchandise from more than 70 brands, as well as community-focused event programming, which ranges from indoor gardening workshops to outdoor activities like kayaking. Check the website for a schedule of special programs.

     Leis Swim by Heidi Leis
Well-known Dallas designer Heidi Leis has launched a new passion project: a line of inclusive, body-positive swimwear. Sizes range from XS to XL — Leis hopes to expand the range in the future — and every silhouette is meticulously fine-tuned to ensure a flattering fit on a variety of shapes. Designed to be both “trendy and classic,” styles are available in vibrant colors inspired by Positano, Italy. Prices range from $90 to $150. Leis Swim launched online June 29, and fans can look for pop-up shops and other events via the brand's Instagram page.

     Parcel22 subscription service
Dallas entrepreneur Natasha August wants to fuse ease and creativity into women's wardrobes with her new startup, Parcel22. The subscription-box clothing and accessories rental service lets subscribers personalize their parcel with the styles they want, wear the items as many times as they want, and return it when they're done. The company says it potentially saves a customer up to 80 percent off retail. Parcel22 is also committed to giving back to the community, having partnered with Genesis Women's Shelter & Support to help support women who have experienced domestic violence.

Y&I Boutique at Shops at Legacy
Former high school debate rivals-turned roommates, best friends, and business partners Robin Boesch and Robyn Sribhen White have teamed up again to open a new boutique at Plano’s Shops at Legacy. Called "y&i" after the one letter that differentiates their first names, the shop will house the fun, flirty, and cheerful styles for the shopper wanting to look fabulous on a budget, they say. Among the treasures shoppers will find are baubles by Waxahachie jewelry designer Sarah Briggs. Also featured are designs by Yumi Kim, Billabong, DL1961, A Gold E, Z Supply, and Gentle Fawn. Until their Plano boutique opens in the fall, shoppers can visit their original Dallas-area location in West Village.

Summer can often be sleepy when it comes to new store openings, but summer 2025 is not taking a break. This edition of Where to Shop, CultureMap's monthly column of shops and sales, has six new finds, dominated by home decor stores, but also new clothing brands and collections.

Here's where to shop in Dallas in July 2025:

    Aroma 360
Home and office fragrance store at Galleria Dallas carries automatic diffusers, reed diffusers, car scents, candles, and sprays. They have a brand new Miami collection, featuring notes like bergamot, pineapple, driftwood, and grapefruit. One signature item is the Mini Pro Scent Diffuser, a $300 automatic diffuser that uses waterless and heatless technology to scent up to 600 square feet.

    Barbie's House
Barbie Clariday originally founded a home furnishings store in 1999 to serve Houston clients. Now 25 years later, her daughter Jennifer Brown has opened a spinoff in Prosper, offering the same mix of fine furniture, home accessories, gifts, and design services where they'll help find the perfect decorative item or furnish an entire home. They sell bed comforter sets, pillows, chairs, and gifts from brands like Oh My Mahjong and B's Knees candles.

    Conrad Shades
Luxury window shades brand is now available exclusively inside the Holly Hunt showroom in the Design District. Holly Hunt carries the full catalogue of 150 woven designs, including the recently launched Japanese-inspired Shibui Collection. Highlights include the Indigo and Sakuru shades, crafted from recycled denim fibers, and the Kata shade, which evokes the dying and weaving traditions of Japan.

    OmniThreads
Dallas-based clothing brand inspired by spirituality, Greek mythology, and the zodiac is online only, where it sells T-shirts, hoodies, dad hats, and kids shirts. Here's where to get T-shirts for every sign of the Zodiac, from Aries to Pisces, rendered in vivid, graffiti-esque designs and colors. They have an eco-friendly mission, using biodegradable packaging and paperless receipts.

    Sephora
Beauty chain has opened a location in Allen at the Allen Premium Outlets, next to the Kate Spade store. It's a regular Sephora store, not an outlet, which stocks the usual assortment of cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, and makeup from Glossier, Makeup by Mario, and Summer Fridays. There is no shortage of Sephora locations with 30 in the DFW area including Galleria Dallas, Preston Royal, and Willow Bend in Plano.

    Weekend Academy
Walmart’s newest private fashion brand fills a space in the fashion market for Gen Alpha, ages 7-14. The tween-specific clothing brand features 65 clothing items for girls and boys including denim, graphic tees, fleece, skirts and dresses, footwear, and accessories, with a majority of items available under $15 and many under $10. Weekend Academy joins Walmart's two other clothing brands for younger shoppers: Wonder Nation brand for kids and No Boundaries brand for Gen Z teens and young adults.
