Top Shops for Fall
Where to shop in Dallas right now: 8 must-hit stores for September
We've already begun dreaming of cool weather and cashmere sweaters, so we're ready to stock up for fall. This month we're revisiting some of our favorite stores and anticipating the haute new boutiques opening later this month. Here's our list of where to shop in September:
Alton Lane
This swank boutique, scheduled to open September 13 at Rosewood Crescent Court, aims to change the way Dallas men shop. The comfortable and clubby store uses 3D body scanning technology to create custom clothes in premium fabrics, from shirts ($89 to $500) to suits ($595 and $10,000).
Brunello Cucinelli
You don't have to travel far for a taste of Italy, thanks to Brunello Cucinelli opening at Highland Park Village on September 18. Get a taste of European elegance with Cucinelli’s rich cashmere, palazzo pants and soft knits.
Forty Five Ten
Don’t miss out on Forty Five Ten’s exclusive collection of vintage couture from Decades 21st Century resale store in Los Angeles. We have our eye on classic Yves Saint Laurent and Hermes silk blouses perfect for layering in the fall.
Kate Spade
The recently opened Kate Spade boutique is making a splash on Knox Street with the designer’s classically bold handbags, wallets, clothing and accessories. This is the second store in Dallas (behind NorthPark Center), but we like the Knox Street locale for its proximity to Knox-Henderson’s other top-notch retailers.
Piermarini Boutique
We always appreciate owner John Piermarini’s efforts to bring hot new designers into his store. This month he’s showcasing the edgy-chic likes of Dallas designer (and former Project Runway finalist) Mila Hermanovski, Lot78 and il by Saori Komatsu. On our wish list? An LBD by Hermanovski.
Steven Alan
Just in time for fall, Steven Alan’s first Texas boutique just opened on buzzy Knox Street. Dallas’ best dressed can now shop Alan’s well-edited collection of modern and classic brands, including Edith A. Miller, Band of Outsiders and A.P.C., plus his own designs.
Tom Ford
Doors are set to open September 12 on this new boutique in Highland Park Village, where Ford fans can shop for clean-lined suits and tailored dresses. Opt for a pair of timeless Tom Ford sunglasses to get that celebrity look without the celebrity price tag.
Traffic LA Women’s
The much-anticipated third installment in the Traffic LA fashion triangle is now open at the Joule hotel in downtown Dallas. Those who covet West Coast style can shop for rocker-chic pieces from Rick Owens, Isabel Marant and Iro.
