New West Village spa dolls up Dallas darlings with fuss-free facials
In time for holiday primping and prettying, Face Haus — the unique open-concept facial bar that debuted in Dallas' Preston Royal Village last spring — is opening a second location, in West Village.
Nestled near SoulCycle, Pōk the Raw Bar, and Barry’s Bootcamp, it will be the Los Angeles-based brand’s eighth location across the country and the first of several additional Texas locations they're eyeing for the next year. According to a release, the West Village location will open on December 21.
Face Haus offers skin-care treatments at friendly price points in a fun, frill-free environment. They call themselves "the Drybar of facials," in fact.
"Dallas is a Mecca for beauty, wellness, health, and food," Jenn Worley, Face Haus cofounder and chief creative officer, told CultureMap when the first Dallas location opened in March. "We believe the desire to get fantastic, spa-grade facials on the regular is universal.
Worley conceived the idea for Face Haus with fellow working moms Karey Burke and Dawn Olmstead. The trio threw a facial-themed birthday party that left them shaking their heads at the pricey, time-consuming, and at times, intimidating culture of traditional day spas.
Driven by the creed "facials for the people," they enlisted celebrated Beverly Hills dermatologist Harold Lancer as consulting physician and founded their first location in West Hollywood in 2013.
Outside of Texas, Face Haus now has locations in Los Angeles and New York.
Designed to give quick and easy in-and-out service, Face Haus completes most treatments within an hour. Similar to a typical salon, the space is open and airy with white leather spa chairs lined up in rows.
Upon entering, you are are handed an iPad for fast check-in and immediately escorted to your chair. One of the spa’s professional aestheticians — they call them “esthetes” —takes you through your treatment using clean, nontoxic products, which are all available for purchase. (The Éminence Organic Skin Care line is a Face Haus favorite.)
The menu features everything from the Best Man ($75), a facial formulated just for the guys, to the Spotless Reputation ($75), which addresses acne. Signature services start at $65 and can be enhanced with optional add-ons, such as microdermabrasion, waxing, and LED light.
No need to leave the kids at home, as a gentle cleansing facial called Believe in Youth is designed for kids ages 10 and under and costs just $30.
To celebrate the new spot, Face Haus will offer several special West Village-specific packages: Uptown Upgrade Package (Haus Special + Mask And You Shall Receive boost, $90); Holiday Party Prep Package (Haus Special + LED, $140); and Pop, Fizz, Glow Package (The Bright Side + Eye Rise, $90).
Face Haus West Village is located at 3699 McKinney Ave., Ste. 312. Regular hours will be 10 am-8 pm Monday through Friday, 9 am-7 pm Saturday, and 11 am-6 pm Sunday.
