CulturePoll: What was the top shop to hit the Dallas fashion scene in fall 2012?
Dec 24, 2012 | 9:13 am
If there’s one thing we know how to do in Dallas, it’s shop. Fall 2012 brought with it many fashionable openings, including a new Highland Park Village boutique from Brian Bolke and first shops for designers Angela Scott and Nicole Kwon.
Men hit the jackpot too, with two service-driven spots in West Village: WAREhaus and Rye 51. Those who covet celebrity style can now frequent Rag & Bone in Highland Park Village, one of 10 stores for the casual yet edgy line to open this past year.
But which of these was the best addition to the Dallas shopping landscape? Vote daily for your favorite new store through December 30:
- Number One/Le Jus. The latest from style setter Brian Bolke also features an in-house cafe to showcase the pressed organic juices of Le Jus founder Dana Card.
- Nicole Kwon. South Korean-born designer Nicole Kwon opened her first boutique in West Village this fall, targeting women who want hip, European style with bohemian flair.
- Office of Angela Scott. Designer Angela Scott opened her first boutique in Victory Park, showcasing her incredible women’s shoes. Every pair is bench-made by a real craftsman.
- Q Clothier/Rye 51. When Q Clothier moved to bigger digs in West Village, it added a more casual sibling called Rye 51. The two store concepts are connected by a well-stocked zebra-wood bar.
- WAREhaus. Patrick Ware teamed up with his old friend from LFT Erin McBriar to open a menswear shop in West Village with exclusive labels like Percival, Wolf vs. Goat and Riviera Club.
- Rag & Bone. Designer David Neville came to town for the opening of the new women’s boutique in Highland Park Village, which offers the full line of clothes, shoes and accessories.
