Gifts Made Easy
New Dallas service simplifies thoughtful gift giving
Local event planner Annie Shamoon has launched an online gift box service that makes celebratory moments hassle-free for the gift giver. The Dallas native combines a curated mix of handmade, local, and artisan goods into themed boxes that can be ordered on Just Hit Send’s website.
“I love planning events and helping others prepare for their special occasions,” Shamoon says. “I found that people wanted input and advice on how to make these celebrations even more special — and that’s where I came up with the idea.”
Shamoon created Just Hit Send gift boxes, which pair three to six items in a given theme. Ten or so boxes will be available year-round with slight variances per season, along with limited-time holiday boxes.
Themed boxes include Rejuvenate, which has eucalyptus towelettes, Chai tea, a porcelain mug , a soy candle, and a succulent, and Cheers to You, which has sparklers, matches, floral confetti, and champagne glasses.
“I wanted to find truly unique items to fill the boxes,” Shamoon says. “Many of the goods are local, have a strong philanthropic element to them, or are up-and-coming brands that will soon be well-known.”
Refugee women hand-make the Gaia earrings and clutch in the Posh and Tres Chic boxes. Silk-screened men’s swim trunks by Curated Clothing Company can be found in the Texas Forever box. All boxes ship in three days or less, keeping local edibles such as Dude, Sweet Chocolate and Joy Macarons fresh.
Customers will also be able to soon create customized Just Hit Send boxes by picking three to five individual goods and packaging them together.
Boxes, which can be shipped anywhere in the U.S., range from $49 to $220, including shipping. Customers can add a personal note and a ribbon for a personal touch.
