Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and his wife, Candice, are unloading their home at 1608 Dowling Dr. in Irving. It was once his bachelor pad, but Candice put her pretty stamp all over it, and now someone can benefit from her hard work.
A California contemporary built in 1993, the 5,551-square-foot house is light and bright, with many smart, stylish updates. All the walls and moldings have been repainted; brass fixtures were banished in favor of drum and glass. The living room fireplace now boasts a stacked-stone facade.
The kitchen is clean and white, with quartzite countertops and stainless steel appliances. It’s connected to the large formal dining room, which has a butler’s pantry and a full wet bar with wine refrigerator.
Candice also brought in some cool wallpapers, like a 1950s shuffleboard scene in the downstairs bathroom. Speaking of bathrooms, the master has a new vessel tub, new sinks, a makeup vanity, and two huge walk-in closets.
Most Cottonwood Valley homes have an upstairs master, but the Romos’ home has two bedrooms, including the master, down.
