Thin Mints Are Here
Where to buy Girl Scout cookies in Dallas (and no more waiting!)
Just as we're all starting to recover from the weight we put on over the holidays, the Girl Scouts are about to put a crimp in those New Year's resolutions. That's right, the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas will officially start selling cookies on Friday, January 10.
And this year there will be no waiting: For the first time, Scouts will have the cookies in hand to sell right away, meaning you can get sinfully delicious treats like Thin Mints, Trefoils and Tagalongs right when you order instead of waiting the agonizing couple of weeks for the cookies to be delivered.
If you can hold your cravings for another week, cookie booths will start popping up everywhere in the Dallas-Fort Worth area starting on January 17. And it's easier than ever to track down a booth, as you can download apps for both iPhones and Androids that'll lead you to the closest location. You can also find locations on the Girl Scouts website.
Of course, let's not forget that this is more than just a great public service the Girl Scouts are providing. The cookie program is designed to help Scouts develop skills like setting goals, making decisions, managing money, working with others and learning about business ethics. They can also earn the new Mary Kay Entrepreneurship patch, getting them one step closer to becoming the leaders of tomorrow.
