As February turns into March, food events in and around the Dallas area offer the opportunity to taste food from a celebrity chef, celebrate a certain festive holiday, indulge in selections from multiple different vineyards, and imbibe some good beer while raising money for a good cause.

VNA Texas presents Celebrity Chef 2017
VNA Texas presents its annual Celebrity Chef event, featuring chef Nancy Silverton. Silverton, known for Osteria Mozza and Pizzeria Mozza in New York, has earned a slew of awards throughout her career, including the James Beard Foundation's Outstanding Chef award in 2014. There are two seatings — one for lunch and one for dinner — at VNA's Haggerty Center.
Henry's Majestic presents Majestic Mardi Gras
In addition to the regular menu at Henry's Majestic, chef Adam Kovac and mixologist Alex Fletcher have created some delectable Cajun specials to celebrate Mardi Gras. Dinner includes crawfish étouffée, red beans and rice, and homemade beignets, and guests can also indulge in handmade hurricanes, blackberry Sazeracs, Creolo cocktails, Mardi Gras shots, and four different beers from NOLA brewery Bayou Teche.
Sea Breeze Fish Market & Grill presents Ferrari-Carano Wine Dinner
The team at Sea Breeze Fish Market & Grill in Plano has paired with the team at famed California vintner Ferrari-Carano to create an evening of wine and food. For $100 per person, you can indulge in fritto misto, saffron fazzoletti with calamari, crispy sea bass, pancetta-wrapped monkfish, and pink peppercorn pannacotta, all paired with just the right Ferrari-Carano wine.

III Forks Steakhouse presents Sommelier for a Day
Each month, III Forks offers a Sommelier for a Day opportunity. Guests help select wines for the coming month by sampling six wines selected by the wine director at III Forks, each paired with hand-passed hors d’oeuvre created by executive chef Chris Vogeli.

Women Who Whiskey will host Jack Daniel's entertainment ambassador Maureen Petrosky for an exclusive whiskey experience at the Standard Pour. Open since last summer, Jasper’s in Richardson hosts its first wine dinner with Napa Valley’s Trinchero Family Estates. Chef Evan Tanner has created a special menu that features passed appetizers and four courses alongside an assortment of food-friendly wines from one of California’s best producers.

Ronald McDonald House of Dallas presents Hops for the House
The 14th annual Hops for the House, presented by Young Friends of Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, gives guests the opportunity to taste beer brewed on-site by the experts at Community Beer Company, as well as partake in creative food stations by Food Glorious Food, which incorporates the craft beers. Proceeds from the the event funds operational expenses for RMHD, which hosts 1,200 families each year while their children are receiving treatment for illnesses or injuries at Dallas hospitals.
