There's a new BBQ restaurant open at the Beeman Hotel in Dallas
They're now dishing up barbecue at newly renovated Beeman Hotel near SMU in Dallas.
Called Seely's Mill, it's the official hotel restaurant for this recently rebranded property, and it opens September 25.
The Beeman is the hotel that took over the former Magnolia off US 75 at 6070 N. Central Expy., advantageously close to Dallas' Park Cities neighborhood and named after one of the pioneering settlers of East Dallas, John Beeman.
The restaurant is located on the hotel's first floor and will be open for breakfast. It has a full bar.
They're not saying much about who's involved with the restaurant, other than to share the limited menu that includes salads, barbecue, sandwiches, and Tex-Mex. They also brag about onsite smokers.
Dishes include:
- Sampler with sliced brisket, pulled pork, and smoked pulled chicken, all smoked at the onsite smoker, with burnt ends pit beans and a cheddar biscuit on the side
- Dynamic Duo: Smoked Onion & Pimento Cheese Dip
- Brisket Chopped with fried strings, chipotle bbq sauce, on fresh challah
- Classic 44, a cheeseburger made with 44 Farms beef, cheddar, mayo, greens, onion, on local brioche.
Other menu items include smoked chicken wings, hummus and pita, club sandwich, quesadilla with pulled pork, and chicken tostadas.
They plan to expand the menu in the coming weeks, adding more BBQ items to the lineup.
They're hosting a grand opening this weekend with BBQ, whiskey, and music, with menu items available for purchase, so don't think this is some freebie event.
It takes place September 26 from 4-7 pm, and you can register via Eventbrite here.
