Bourbon Tasting at Ocean Prime
The event, hosted in partnership with Women Who Whiskey, features a bourbon tasting, hors d’oeuvres, and music by DJ Steffi Burns. Spirits to be sampled include Angel’s Envy — Port Wine Barrel, Four Roses, Balcones — Single Malt, Russell’s Reserve, and Jack Daniel's Single Barrel. Essex St. Cheese and Wine class at Scardello Artisan Cheese
Scardello welcomes Rachel Juhl of New York's own Essex St. Cheese. Originally a cheesemonger at her mother’s shop, Juhl has worked at cheese counters around America including Di Bruno Bros., BKLYN Larder, Cowgirl Creamery, and Zingerman’s Delicatessen. This class is focused on the delicious cheeses that Essex selects and imports. Tickets are $40, and the class starts at 7 pm.
Gin & Jam at Toasted Coffee + Kitchen
Every Thursday night, this new music series includes various local artists and great food and drink specials. Admission is free and artists are TBD.
Neiman Marcus x The Grape Wine Dinner at Neiman Marcus NorthPark Center
Join Neiman Marcus and The Grape's Brian Luscher for a special night featuring wine from Hamilton Russell and food from 44 Farms. Courses include roasted delicata squash, monkfish, black Angus beef with truffles, and a dark chocolate bombe glacée. Tickets are $125, and the doors open at 7 pm. The dinner will take place on Level Three at NM Cafe.
Saturday, October 14
Park and Palate's Grand Tasting at Klyde Warren Park
In its third year, this event features 60 chefs and 30 wineries offering tastings, cooking demos, and book signings. All proceeds go directly back to Klyde Warren Park. Tickets start at $75 for the grand tasting, which lasts from 2-6 pm.
Best Cupcake and Macaron Tour
Kreme de la Cupcake's Keiyana Roberts (who competed on Cupcake Wars) leads the way to some of her favorite discoveries around town. Tickets are $39 and include transportation, an abundance of cupcakes and macarons, beverages, and more.
