Sub sandwich chain Capriotti's opens new DFW location in Flower Mound
The subs have landed in Flower Mound: Capriotti's Sandwich Shop, known for cheesesteaks, turkey subs, and more sandwich have opened a location in Flower Mound at 801 International Pkwy. #530.
Founded in Wilmington, Delaware in 1976, Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is known for its array of sandwiches including:
- The Bobbie, made with turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo
- the Capastrami, made with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing and homemade coleslaw
- the cheesesteak, made with steak, chicken, or Impossible plant-based meat and melted cheese plus hot or sweet peppers
Other menu items include cold, grilled, and vegetarian subs, plus salads.
According to their website, the chain was founded by siblings Lois and Alan Margolet, out of a desire to create something unique while honoring family heritage. They sold to CEO Ashley Morris in 2007.
The Flower Mound location is managed by Erik Frazier.
"When looking into restaurant franchises, it was the ingredients that the brands were using that was most important to me," Frazier says in a statement. "Capriotti's is known to have fresh, high-quality ingredients it is a privilege to bring Capriotti's award-winning sandwiches to Flower Mound and its surrounding areas."
The chain has three other locations in the DFW area, including McKinney, which opened in January 2022, and Frisco, where they opened a location in April 2022 - one of more than 170 locations across the U.S.
