Spring Social Season Starts Up
Greer Garson Gala kicks off season with philanthropic fun at Fedora
Friends of Greer Garson Gala and Texas Health Resources Foundation threw a kickoff happy hour at Fedora in One Arts Plaza to jump-start this year's lineup of exciting events leading up to the main gala later this spring.
Friends of Greer Garson Gala chair Jayne Herring welcomed the chic crowd, who refused to let a little cold weather spoil their fun. Guests — including LeeAnne Locken, Shona Gilbert, Steve Kemble, and Megan Hawthorne McGuire and Christopher McGuire — enjoyed apps and "royal" cocktails in keeping with the the theme of this year's gala, "A Royal Affair."
Attendees also mingled with gala committee members, including chairs Keri Tonn and David Heard, as well as foundation staff such as president Jay McAuley. This was the perfect opportunity to learn more about Women and Infant Services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and how proceeds from the gala are crucial in helping these programs thrive.
"How beautifully appropriate it was to kick off the Greer Garson Gala in the Dallas Arts District, celebrating the mission of the Texas Health Resources Foundation while honoring the legendary actress who generously supported the hospital," Herring said. "Many families are created and expanded at Texas Health Dallas, and as a Dallas wife and mother, I am honored to help support the hospital's Women and Infant Services through this event."
The 2014 gala, set for April 26 at Omni Dallas, will include silent and live auctions, seated dinner and entertainment by Beatles cover band A Hard Night's Day. You can contribute to the auction as well as purchase tickets on the event's website.
