Brandon Green and Mark Walker met by chance at a hair salon where Brandon worked briefly. He must have made an impression, because Mark asked the guy cutting his hair to set up a double date with his partner and Brandon.
Surf-and-turf dates turned into group outings to the Nasher Sculpture Center, and before they knew it, the couple had been dating for two years and eight months. On a romantic lake getaway, Mark secretly tied a ring to their dog’s bandanna and proposed to Brandon.
Brandon never really imagined he would have a wedding; Mark, however, did. So when it was time to select a venue, Mark had his eye on a couple of Dallas places to make his dream a reality.
The ceremony and reception took place at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, on June 18, 2016. The day had a “fancy Sunday brunch” feel, beginning with a cocktail hour that evolved into the ceremony site. Post nuptials, guests headed down the stairs for a group photo and then to the bar for more drinks and appetizers.
The final destination was the dining hall, where they shared a meal at a single, sophisticated table decorated with an all-white floral display by Bella Flora. Guests enjoyed catering and cake by the hotel, and light and festive tunes performed by Absolute Entertainment.
One particularly clutch vendor, essential to the day’s flow, was Premier Transportation. It’s always the small things, it seems, that make a big difference when it comes to planning the ideal wedding.
“Hiring the limousine bus service to transport our family from their hotel to the venue was extremely beneficial,” Brandon says. “Everyone was there on time for the photo session with the photographer, and the day continued to flow perfectly.”
The couple also raved about the services of Julian Leaver, aka the Dapper Diplomat.
“Julian made our entire planning process practically effortless,” Brandon says. “Our wedding was exactly as we desired — spectacular, elegant, and intimate.”
