Dallas, meet Austin: Rachofsky House hosts preview for Blanton Art Museumexhibit
Cindy and Howard Rachofsky — you know, the Two x Two gamechangers — recently hosted a special preview of Through the Eyes of Texas: Masterworks from Alumni Collections at their Richard Meier-designed house.
The exhibit, which will open at the Blanton Musuem of Art February 24, 2012, showcases a range of work from various historical periods and mediums. Alumni from The University of Texas at Austin loaned the museum artwork from their personal collections to make this display possible.
Ginger and Jack Blanton (for whom the museum is named) were at the reception, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the art museum at the university. Attendees Michelle and Nathaniel Mann, Suzie Barnett, Sally Dunning, Diane Boddy, Holly and Phillip Huffines, Roger Horchow, Jeanne Klein, Cindy Schwartz, Nancy Shutt, James Burke, and Capera Ryan were also on the scene to honor the art-enthused alumni.
The host committee for the celebratory evening included art patrons Elaine and Neils Agather, Patty and James Huffines, Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller, Janie and Cappy McGarr, Lindsey and J. Patrick Collins, and Lizzie and Dan Routman.
