Home-and-design enthusiasts recently flocked to Nest — the haute McKinney Avenue concept store — for a book-singing fete featuring A-list designer Alex Papachristidis.
Chic attendees — including Leighton Callan, Helen Brock, Terry Houser, Rhonda Sargent Chambers, Scott Nelson, Eileen Maxey, Alexis Bourn, and Debbie VanZant — sipped on cocktails and snacked on hors d’oeuvre as they browsed through Papachristidis’ exquisite Rizzoli International Publications book, The Age of Elegance: Interiors by Alex Papachristidis.
The designer extraordinaire featured in Elle Décor, InStyle and Town & Country began his interior company in 1987 — specifically, the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where he grew up — so he knows a thing or two about opulence. As evident in his book, Papachristidis balances his sophistication with cool, modern and often eclectic twists of unsuspected patterns and textures.
At the party, dapper Papachristidis posed with attendees in a luxe suit and tie and signed copies of his book for guests.
