No matter what holiday you celebrate, you can appreciate festive decor. We could not help but be drawn to the shiny, ornate decorations of DIFFA Dallas' wreath soiree, presented by the Joule.
But the organization's greater goal of spreading AIDS and HIV awareness is what really lured us to Timothy Oulton for the 17th annual event. Plus, we already know that DIFFA knows how party.
Businesses, retailers, designers and individuals — including Barneys New York, Fossil, Sunstone Yoga, Dream Captured Events, Wynn Design and Development, Direct Export Inc. and Robyn Menter Design — donated 55 wreaths to the silent auction in support of this important cause.
The wreaths hung throughout the leather-infused space, giving guests a full tour of the British decor. Some of our favorites included Timothy Oulton's giant bowler-hat wreath, the Joule's mini "live" wreath and Dr. Kevin Terrell's classic Christmas wreath.
Live music set the tone for this haute holiday fete as style council ambassadors and DIFFA devotees — including Carmaleta Whiteley, Lee Bailey, Steve Kemble, Carol Hatton, Laura Noble, Carol Quist, David Goltl, Jessica Hasten, Chuck Steelman, Cullen Potts, Marty Collins and Kimberley Burke — sipped on signature cocktails served at the in-store London Cafe and noshed on light bites.
All tallied, DIFFA Dallas raised $39,000.
