For the Tots
Carnival-like launch party attracts most fabulous moms in Dallas
What: The Tot launch party
Where: Goar Park
The 411:Miroslava Duma and Nasiba Adilova invited a few of their closest friends — and several fashion heavyweights, like Nicholas Kirkwood, Prabal Gurung, and Mary Katrantzou — to celebrate the addition of an online store to their new luxury lifestyle site, The Tot, which Duma and Adilova founded earlier this year.
The site is dedicated to offering mothers (and mothers-to-be) a one-stop-shop for information and advice, as well as healthy, safe, and innovative products that have been curated and tested by moms. Expert contributors to The Tot include journalists, doctors, and nutritionists, writing about everything from fertility and sleeping to feeding, style, gear, and well-being. As far as shopping options, the new online store offers more than 300 top children’s brands, with a focus on products that are pesticide-, chemical-, and dye-free and materials that are natural and organic.
During the festive carnival-themed celebration, hosted by Taylor Tomasi Hill, Jessica Nowitzki, and Kameron Westcott, guests nibbled on snacks provided by Berrynaked Popsicles, The Gem, Trader Joe’s, and Green House Market, among other eateries.
In between bites, kids and parents alike enjoyed myriad activities, including a reading nook by Tiny Bee Gift Co., making flower crowns and florals with Three Branches Floral, an herb garden by North Haven Gardens, and, of course, face painting and games. There also happened to be a petting zoo, and music was provided by the Dallas String Quartet, because, really, petting a sweet little pony is all the better when you’re being serenaded by violins. The proceeds from the event benefited Baby2Baby, which helps provide low-income children with diapers, clothing, and all the basic necessities that a child deserves.
