If you're familiar with Young Texans Against Cancer, then you know these professionals are some of the most active — and stylish — young philanthropists around. So imagine the scene at Hotel Lumen, where more than 150 devotees gathered for the kickoff party for BubblyQ, the organization's largest fundraising fete.
Co-chairs Carrie Crossman and Holly Price welcomed the well-heeled crowd, which included YTAC president Catharine Flagg, Lacie Coburn, Lauren Toledo, Veronica Roper, Jessica Studer and Meredith Falke. Girls made quite a fashion statement in their sassy summer dresses and sunglasses, but the men — including YTAC vice president Matt Wilson, BubblyQ chef chair Dean Fearing, Bill Veatch, Ben Mackay and Shawn Walsh — held their own, fashion-wise, with cool button-downs and other preppy staples.
After snacking on savory bites, sipping bubbly (of course) and enjoying tunes mixed by DJ Jose G, early birds purchased advanced tickets for the anticipated fall affair.
YTAC hopes to raise $100,000 at this year's BubblyQ, which takes place October 3 at Fearing's. To help the organization reach that goal, you can purchase tickets online starting in August. And remember: It's never too early to start thinking about what to wear.
