1. Star-studded trio opens fun new cocktail lounge on Dallas' Cedar Springs. A trio of first-timers has brought a glitzy new bar to the Cedar Springs strip of Dallas. Called Mr. Misster, it features craft cocktails and a sophisticated atmosphere in a neighborhood known for casual drinking and wild nights.
2. Addison Airport plane crash victims included Dallas restaurateur. An airplane crashed at Addison Airport on June 30, killing all 10 people inside. Among the victims was Brian Ellard, a co-owner of Dallas restaurant Mille Lire, as well as his wife and two stepchildren. The flight crew on the plane had noted problems with the left engine just seconds before the crash occurred.
3. Lakefront estate with ties to infamous Dallas mobster hits market for $3.7 million. An ornate lakefront estate on property once owned by infamous Dallas mobster Herbert “The Cat” Noble has gone on the market for the first time. The two-story mansion at 1213 Noble Way — yes, same Noble — overlooking Lake Grapevine is listed for $3.7 million with Jim Striegel with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

5. Plano-based FedEx Office adds new rush passport service at all locations. Wannabe international travelers have an ultra-convenient new way to get their passport processed in a jiffy: Plano-based FedEx Office, previously known for printing, packing, and shipping, has teamed up with RushMyPassport, an online passport service, to offer expedited U.S. passport services.
